Dinner with a friend

Last night Lucas and I went to dinner with my friend Laura. It was fun and Lucas was pretty well behaved, but there's certainly a time limit that kids will sit still and be pleasant. His was about one hour and 45 minutes. After that he got fidgety and a bit unruly. It's sort of funny, but you have to try to not laugh because I think it'll just make those
undesirable actions pop up more frequently.

We probably stayed 30 minutes too long, which is when I uncharacteristically gave him the Oreo cookie that came with his meal. Last 20 or so, he sat in my lap. Once he started trying to look over to the other booth, we got the bill.

It was nice though to spend time with a friend and to have a peaceful child for a while:)
