Today I received a call from Lucas' school. When I saw the caller ID, I immediately got scared since the last call I received ended in an ER visit. But, today it was something cute. The teacher asked if we had told him about the baby already. Apparently, during their circle time weekend update he said that he had played with mommy and the baby:)
Since I'm now in my 16th week of pregnancy, we have begun to talk about the eventual arrival of a baby brother or sister a bit. This weekend, I showed Lucas a picture of me when I was pregnant with him and then I expalined that there's another baby in there now. Also, at dinner last night we talked about how the baby would eventually take the fourth seat at our table. Then, there were the times that he was sitting and bouncing on me (my belly) and daddy told him to be gentle with me because the baby is in my belly. Our mentions are usually matter-of-fact and relate to the situation at hand, but I guess those situations have made an impression if he shared.
I'm starting to get really excited for Lucas. He's going to be a big brother. How fun!
